Healing Ourselves with Water Story
The primary causes of disease are Dehydration, Exhaustion, and Malnutrition. Listening to our body’s cry for water escapes even the most health-conscious folks. Even during a strenuous hike, I must remind myself to stop and gulp water. Once we acknowledge this commonsense fact, we can make desirable shifts in addressing our body’s actual needs.
We are made up of about 75-90% water. Every function of the body is dependent on water. From blood flow which travels throughout the body from our heart to limbs to the brain, to respiration’s transfers of oxygen to the blood and the release of carbon dioxide, digestion of our food, beginning with making saliva to be mixed with the food we are chewing, then the utilization of that food to be broken down into nutritional elements for our nourishment to elimination of waste through the intestines. We know what happens when we are near death; everything dries up. We are always amazed at how some desert flowers and plants know how to conserve their energy and live on less need for water.
Water is essential for the body to “work.” So, it makes sense that besides air, water is the most crucial element which you require to live.
Today, most of us know that the quality of city water or municipal water systems has much to be desired. Some cities put fluoride into the water, thinking it’s good for our teeth. There is a laundry list of possible contaminants found in our water sources.
- Nitrates
- Arsenic
- Microorganisms, Bacteria, and Viruses
- Aluminum
- Fluoride
Even well water is no longer to be trusted. Because of the insecticidal spraying of orchards and farms, those who live in the country need to question carefully what we are drinking. I moved up to North Carolina to a mountain community near Asheville. I had packed my gravity-fed Berkey Water Filter, which I used in Florida, but also had a reverse-osmosis unit under the sink as the first line of purification. I used the Berkey for about eight months until I heard about the Kangen Water System. During this period Covid19, I just knew that clean, non-contaminated water would be the wisest investment I could make for myself to prevent any disease. It took me a year to pay it off. Well worth it. I’m healthier than I have ever been. I sleep great, have an excellent appetite….which are two very basic signs of good health and a great immune system. I am not vaccinated and will never be. My immune system works well enough to keep me going for a long time.
